2007深圳·香港城市\建筑双城双年展将于<chsdate wst="on" isrocdate="False" islunardate="False" day="8" month="12" year="2007">12月8日</chsdate>正式开幕 到今年已成功举办两届的双年展，一直以城市化为长期主题，探讨和交流城市问题，以及其发展的趋势，具有专业性、学术性和公益性，是两年一度的国际文化活动。 本届双年展和香港合作举办，开创了前所未有的两个城市“同一主题，两地举行”的双年展模式，充分体现了深圳本身的文化创新性、先锋性和实验性。 被称为“设计之都”的深圳在这次双年展中将试图重获城市典范的理想能量并研究城市建筑生命周期的问题，并以深圳作为珠江三角洲经济核心之一，不断探索其实验性和创造性。举办城市\建筑双年展，就是通过艺术视觉的形式反映城市面临的问题和趋势，吸引关心城市发展的各方人士聚焦深圳，共同探讨城市发展中出现的各类问题。通过双城双年展的举办，树立深圳城市先锋形象，建构国际化的学术平台，总结城市建设成就，把握城市发展方向，形成关注深圳和香港“双城”的焦点。与此同时，也为广大深圳市民提供一个关注、参与和交流城市文化、共建宜居家园的契机，形成一个丰富城市文化生活的品牌。” 本届双年展以“城市再生”为主题，探讨城市建筑过期、老化、更新等城市问题，展览包括建筑规划、艺术展览、专业论坛、特约调研、市民参与、深港互动六项内容；展出来自17个国家的108位参展者的106件作品。为保证展览的学术独立性和参展公证性，展览组织上实行组委会、策展人、学术委员会三角架结构，并特别聘请美国南加州大学建筑学院院长<personname wst="on" productid="马清运">马清运</personname>教授担任本届展览的策展人。
